Dubbing
Dubbing is the most elaborate, thorough and sophisticated kind of video content localization. Unlike other technologies, dubbing requires accurate lip-sync and adaptation of all background dialogues and emotional reactions. Each main character is portrayed by a separate voice talent, and the level of acting can be compared to that of the original, which makes localized product just as expressive. Requirements for mixing here are higher than in any other technology, application of all sound effects on the adapted sound track included.
It should be noted that TV dubbing and theatrical dubbing may differ in acting, lip-sync and mixing. Moreover, theatrical dubbing usually implies recording and mixing according to the requirements of movie theater sound projecting equipment.
